Welcome to Diss Museum - “A little jewel in Diss!”
There is something for everybody in our award-winning community museum.
Please browse through the site to find out more about us.
How to find us
We are in the centre of Diss Market Place in the old Shambles building, once a butcher’s shop. There are several car parks within walking distance.
Diss Museum is now open for its 2020 season. We hope to see you soon!
Find out more about our opening ceremony.
We are looking forward to 2020 with all new exciting display exhibits.
The reception/gift shop has been refurbished while we were closed and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors in to enjoy the new layout.
The Museum is run by volunteers and, without our volunteer stewards, we would not be able to do this, we are very grateful to them for their continued support.
The Museum is open daily, from March to November, 11am - 3pm.
Admission is free. The Museum is wheelchair accessible.
In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are temporarily closing the Museum and cancelling the March and April third-Friday meetings, to ensure the safety of our visitors and stewards.
We will be evaluating this closure and hope to re-open as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you again, soon.
